The boy’s basketball team ended their season holding their best
record yet! The team went 6-10, beating their previous season record of
4-12 and then placing sixth overall in the district after losing to
Briar Woods in the district quarterfinals 48-39.
Although the team faced many losses and players leaving the squad,
they stuck together throughout the season and finished it out strong. Sadly, the team will be down five seniors at the start of next
season. Three of these seniors started almost every game and contributed
not only their basketball skills but their leadership qualities on and
off the court.
“I’m just going to miss them all,” said sophomore Rod Smith. Next year they will face a tough challenge moving up to division III
but the Eagles have showed promise in improving their success each
season and plan to continue this in the next season.
